Richmond Municipal Natatorium

The Richmond Municipal Natatorium (Richmond Plunge), Point Richmond, CA

We are excited to announce that Phase 1 of construction has begun. View video coverage of the groundbreaking on August 5, 2008.

Todd Jersey Architecture is pleased to be stewarding the revival of this important civic project. We are rehabilitating and renovating the historic Richmond Municipal Natatorium—"the Plunge"—in Point Richmond, California. Constructed in 1925, The Plunge is the oldest and largest indoor pool in the San Francisco Bay Area. Once a popular spot for year-round swimming and aquatic therapy, it has been closed since August 2001 because of seismic hazards.

For background and updates on the Plunge renovation, please visit www.richmondplunge.org.
