Todd Jersey Architecture designed five San Francisco Bay Area stores for Spinelli Coffee Company (now owned and operated by Tulley's). These projects demonstrate our ability to design elegant interior space on restricted budgets (about half the typical budget for a rival coffee store). The Spinelli stores were also among the first commercial retail stores in the United States to use FSC-certified hardwood for their cabinetry.
Corte Madera Town Center
This Marin County store was the first retail store in the United States to use FSC-certified narra wood from EcoTimber, one of the country's first suppliers of ecologically grown and harvested hardwoods.
Cole Street, San Francisco
We renovated this storefront to its original early-20th-century look, complete with a mosaic tile entry. We used many antique items-including doors, lampshades, and marble from a demolished department store-to enhance the authenticity. The solid redwood counter details are from large section old growth salvaged redwood so that the bar would "weather" without "wearing.'
Crocker Galleria, San Francisco
This store uses FSC-certified narra wood in a beautifully simple stepped and curved service bar. Todd Jersey Architecture worked with Mark Witt of Applied Design to create a storage and display unit that is both elegant and functional.
Embarcadero Center, San Francisco
FSC-certified narra wood was used for the stunning stepped and curved service bar with round pick-up stations at each end. The coffee storage and display unit was designed by Todd Jersey Architecture and built by Mark Witt of Applied Design.
