MAYBECK REDUX, BERKELEY, CA
Originally designed by Bernard Maybeck, an esteemed American architect in the Arts and Crafts Movement of the early 20th century, we remodeled this elegant home in the Berkeley Hills which was once owned by Pete Seeger in the early 2000's. The remodel consisted of carefully crafted intrusions into the existing fabric such as a dramatic skylight in a light starved dining room, new porches and decks and a remodeled kitchen. From seamless updates to historical homes to modern new construction, we design to meet the needs of the project and our clients.
