In this project for two tech professionals who work remotely, an existing shed was demolished to make room for the design and construction of a 540sf detached one-bedroom ADU which will serve as their offices and as space for guests. A deck connects the ADU to the back of the main house making the morning commute a simple one. This ADU is design to be highly energy efficient with “super” insulation, all electric appliances, and use of sustainable materials including FCS certified lumber. This cat-lover couple has personalized the ADU with charming cat-themed wall paper and their pinball machines.
